Community Center - Iceland

Presentation of our solution for - Community Center in Iceland. The project received mentioning in the short listed project for winning the competitions and can be found among the selected projects on the web page of the organizers (architecturecompetitions.com). 

Our project is presented as two volumes that define the space and at the same time it shapes the natural land on which it is located. A submissive body that merges with the hill where it is located, housing the auxiliary functions of the center, and the second volume crystal like shaped and appearance. The tall volume also acts as a geographical landmark for those who transit the area and can be used as a beacon during the hard long winters.
